This week, we have been exploring how we can notice, name, and release some of the weight we may be consciously or subconsciously carrying. Today, I’d like to share an excerpt from a book that has greatly impacted my life in the area of forgiveness and letting go of hurt. 

Over time and continual attention to these areas in your life, I believe you will find the freedom to turn your eyes to the flowers and pause to smell the roses in your midst.

My Teacher Tip for you today is not a quick fix or an easy solution. It’s a mental picture I’ve used to try to navigate perspective during times when I faced what felt like insurmountable stressors. I call it: Bricks in a Backpack.

Our children need to see humanness and vulnerability modeled.
