World Teachers Day!

Happy World Teachers Day, Everyone! This day has been observed since 1994 and is rooted in celebrating the impact of teachers while continuing to strive for excellence within the profession. 

“It is a day to celebrate how teachers are transforming education but also to reflect on the support they need to fully deploy their talent and vocation, and to rethink the way ahead for the profession globally.”

To me, this day feels special because in the midst of challenging times for so many teachers around the world, we are reminded that we are not alone. Many have gone before us, paving the way for the next generation to explore, discover, and dream. Many go alongside us as we cherish the joys of teaching and navigate the heartbreaks and frustrations as well. And many will go after us - perhaps inspired by our example of love - to be advocates and leaders: our future teachers.
