The Beauty of Your Soul
“May you see in what you do the beauty of your soul.” ~ John O’Donohue
In our last reflection, we reflected on leaning into the very real joys and challenges of our classroom spaces. I ended with this thought: “To take someone’s hand and lift them up requires bending to their level, leaning in, and offering hope.” But what if we don’t feel like we have the strength to bend down and lean in? What if we, as teachers, are searching for hope and feel as if we have nothing extra to give?
This season is also one to lean into your own journey.
What deep joys and successes are you experiencing in life right now? Those deserve to be seen, named, and valued. They are beautiful.
What feels particularly heavy on your heart during these days? Whether they are “big things” or not, they are so real and important. You may be adjusting to a diagnosis in your family or navigating a tight financial time. Perhaps you’re inviting a new member into the family or seeing one move on to new paths.
Whatever you are leaning into today, my hope is that you see the spark and value in who you are. In the midst of an ongoing effort to balance your personal and professional life, thank you for being you and sharing the beauty of your soul with the world.
