Thank You

“One child, one teacher, one book, one pen can change the world. Education is the only solution. Education first.” ~ Malala Yousafzai

In case no one has told you today: Thank you. Thank you for every detail you have navigated in your personal and professional life to begin this school year. Whether you are setting out for the first time, navigating several years of experience, or approaching the end of your career, thank you for embarking on the adventure of teaching. I believe we have been called to the most influential profession in the world.

As your school year is beginning, take a moment to reflect on who or what you are thankful for:

  • Who has helped you prepare for this school year?

  • What meaningful connections have you made with colleagues?

  • How have you begun to build relationships with students and families?

  • What positive memories have been created in your learning space?

  • How have you been learning and growing in anticipation of this school year?
