Trust the Timing
Our theme for March is: A Space to Grow. We have discussed cultivating this space, setting intentional goals, and the various feelings that may surface during this season. We are prepared to equip and empower our students to experience growth in an amazing way! But what about the areas we have no control over? What about the days when you wonder if you’re making a difference at all? What about the waiting?
To be completely honest with you, I don’t really have an answer for these questions. This is something I wrestle with daily. But one thing I’m learning is: Trust the timing. This isn’t always comfortable, but I believe it is life. Just like a seed underneath the heavy soil, we don’t always see the roots growing and developing for our students, our families, or ourselves. We nourish the soil the best we can, but it takes time for growth to evidence itself. We may not even be blessed to see the fruits of our labor in this lifetime. That is one of the difficult parts about our profession. But we have faith that more caring, inspiring people will come into our students’ lives and continue to pour life into those beautiful sprouts.
So, as you start your weekend, I hope you can find peace in the unknown. Trust the timing. Rest in the moments when not everything is resolved yet. You are impactful. You are a nourisher. You are making a difference in your students’ lives.
