I Am Waiting

“Waiting is a period of learning. The longer we wait, the more we hear about Him for whom we are waiting.” ~ Henri Nouwen

I am waiting with excitement

For new buds to bloom and new ideas to form.

Earnestly seeking adventure and fresh perspective,

I step out even while I wait, confident that God knows the plans He has for me.

I am waiting with grief

To feel whole, healthy, and joyful once again.

My heart hurts in ways I can’t express.

I wait with my Comforter, knowing He is with me in the time to laugh and in the time to cry.

I am waiting with curiosity,

Asking questions: Who? What? When? Why? Where? How?

Enjoying the mystery that is life itself.

I wonder - and wait - as God works on my behalf.

I am waiting with hope.

A brighter future is in store for this student, and therefore, this world.

I have good reasons to wait with hope.

I am inextricably connected to the Author of hope, and He is still writing.

May the Lord Bless You and Keep You:

Today, may you find meaning and purpose in your season of waiting.

May your heart be drawn closer to God in prayer, sharing your hopes and hurts.

May this time of stillness or questioning lead to learning and loving.

What are you waiting for?
