I Am Hopeful

“We wait in hope for the Lord; he is our help and our shield. In him our hearts rejoice, for we trust in his holy name. May your unfailing love rest upon us, O Lord, even as we put our trust in you.” ~ Psalm 33:20-22 (NIV)

My friend, how is your heart today?

What joys are you feeling?

What burdens are you carrying?

Feel free to take a moment to whisper them or write them down. Our joys and burdens are important and very real. While I am listening in spirit, empathizing with what I imagine your answers may be, our Heavenly Father is listening to you now and knows you deeply. He is intimately in tune with your joys, however vibrant or subtle they are. And He yearns to carry your burdens for you.

My friend, do you feel hopeful or hopeless today?

Or perhaps, a blending of both?

Our Lord hears your answer and meets you in this moment. He loves you unconditionally. When we do not have everything figured out and our to-do list isn’t even close to being complete, even here, we wait in hope for the Lord. He will take your hand through this day. Trust in His Holy Name.

May the Lord Bless You and Keep You:

Today, may you come as you are and wait in hope for the Lord.

May you cling to the promise that He is your help and shield.

May your heart rejoice because His powerful, Holy Name is trustworthy.

May God’s unfailing love rest upon you as you approach the next moment, putting your trust in Him.
