Discovering Hope
“We read to know we’re not alone.”
~ William Nicholson
As professionals working in the education system, many of us would likely consider ourselves as readers. We have read a lot to get to this point. Perhaps the enjoyment of reading is a hobby or it relieves stress. If I was sitting next to you today, I would love to hear your answers to these questions:
Do you enjoy reading fiction or nonfiction books?
Who are some of your favorite authors?
Do you have an all-time favorite book?
Do you have a “reading spot''? If so, describe it.
As we reflect on the theme of hope this month, reading has come to my mind. I have found so much comfort and inspiration through reading books. Whether I receive a book recommendation from a friend or discover a new literary treasure while in a bookstore, exploring new and insightful perspectives refreshes my soul. Just imagine the impact we create, as teachers, when we inspire our students to become stronger readers. We are opening doors for learning and hope in their lives!
This week, we will continue our conversation on finding hope through reading by sharing book recommendations together. Lastly, stay tuned about an EXCITING ANNOUNCEMENT arriving tomorrow!
