Congratulations, Future Teachers!
During the month of May, our reflections theme is: Celebration! I can’t think of a better way to begin this journey than by honoring our future teachers. Over the next few weeks, students are graduating from their respective colleges and universities. Many of these graduates have chosen to become teachers, social workers, nurses, and other vital positions in our schools. What an exciting time!
It reminds me of the excited, nervous feelings I had as a “pre-teacher.” I remember going to bookstores and searching online to try to find resources to help support me as a teacher. My faith has always been foundational for me, so I really wanted to find a devotional book - one that was written with educators in mind. I found a few options, but none of them really felt relatable to me as I prepared myself for the challenging and rewarding call of education.
Fast forward to Spring 2022. I felt that now more than ever, individuals who work with children and young adults need a resource like this. So, I decided to write one!
Over the last two weeks, I have reached out to almost 150 colleges and universities, introducing: “Called to the Classroom: Daily Reflections for Educators.” I was overwhelmed by the immediate responses, the common theme being: “We need a book like this.” One of my biggest personal goals is that other “pre-teachers” will be able to find a resource that will support their education journey. That’s why I am inviting college students and faculty to order this book as early as May 1, 2023! That’s TODAY! Simply click HERE to order on Amazon!
If you know of any new teachers who would benefit from this resource, I invite you to share this with them. Let’s empower our future educators!
