Book Launch Reflection
This past weekend, we celebrated “Called to the Classroom: Daily Reflections for Educators” being published and available to the world! This week, I want to begin by sharing some highlights from these virtual and in-person book launch events.
It was so meaningful to connect with people who have influenced and inspired me throughout my life. From high school teachers to college and graduate school professors. Teacher mentors and close friends. Family near and far. Celebrating this resource with people close to me felt very personal, and I will hold onto these memories dearly.
During the book launches, I shared my vision behind “Called to the Classroom,” which is to encourage educators in their calling. It was so inspiring to meet new people who share this vision and hope. I heard story after story of teachers who are on the brink of burning out and considering leaving the teaching profession. So many voices shared, “We need a resource like this.”
There is so much work to be done to address the many challenges within our education system right now. Honestly, I’m not even certain where to begin. However, sharing uplifting and faithful truths with passionate teachers and teacher-supporters feels like a powerful step in the right direction. I am so excited to see what the future holds as we continue to cultivate community and empower educators. Thank you for joining me on this journey.
