Team Meline Updates

Hi Everyone! You may have noticed fewer reflections than normal last week. With so many schools on Spring Break, I felt like taking a little break too - from writing reflections, that is. There are so many exciting things in the works here at Team Meline, and I’m so thankful you’re a part of it. Here are some Spring updates on how we are making connections and growing our impact:

  • Teacher Education Students: College graduations are just about a month away. Over the past couple of months, we’ve been reaching out to colleges and universities to share about “Called to the Classroom: Daily Reflections for Educators” as a resource for their new teachers. I’m so excited that several colleges have decided to use this book as their Senior graduation gift. This one hits home for me because this was the time in my professional career I was looking for a resource like this the most. I absolutely love imagining it in the hands of our newest teachers!

  • Community Outreach: I’m so grateful to have the opportunity to connect with educators in my local community and around the entire country! While my official job has me teaching and leading remotely, I still volunteer at a local elementary school a couple of times a week and get to work with students and teachers in person. To me, this is what community looks like. Helping where we can and supporting our teachers above all. In my virtual job, I absolutely love getting to work with hundreds of teachers and students from districts across the United States. As I build relationships with my colleagues, the mission of Team Meline is spread as well. More people are curious. More people want more authentic connection and conversation.

  • Education: On April 25-27, I’ll be heading to Seattle, WA for the Northwest Christian Writers Association Renewal Conference. I’m so honored to be leading a workshop, presenting on the topic: From Inspiration to Impact: Crafting Devotionals with Purpose. I’m also excited to learn from other authors and discover new connections and opportunities.

This is just the beginning of the work we are doing and the love we are sharing. More workshops and speaking opportunities are beginning to fill my calendar. (I can’t wait to share more details soon!) More groundwork is being made for widening our networks. You are all a part of this journey! Thank you for sharing resources you have found helpful with others. Thank you for listening to the stories of our teachers and validating their experiences. Thank you for being a teacher! Thank you for positively impacting those around you. One step at a time, we are making a big difference!
