Teacher Tip Tuesday: Inspirational Journaling

My Teacher Tip Tuesday for you today is a type of journaling practice. When my motivation, or passionate energy, is fading, I have found it helpful to reflect on who or what inspires me, and to write this down as a list. Then, I intentionally plan how I will involve these people and activities in my own life. It seems so simple, but in all the busyness, sometimes I forget to play my favorite song or catch up with a close friend, for example. So today, let’s try this practice together:

  • Who inspires you?

  • Who can you sit with, conversing for hours, and leave feeling uplifted?

  • Who do you have “real talks” with - discussions that are vulnerable and sometimes challenging?

  • Who do you look up to, and why?

  • What inspires you?

  • What books, movies, songs, podcasts, or videos bring energy to your heart?

  • Where do you go to feel inspired?

  • What hobbies or activities build you up and cultivate creativity?

  • How does your faith or spiritual practices inspire you?
