I Am Transformed
“Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.” ~ Romans 12:2 (NIV)
Transformation is intentional, thoughtful, and sometimes unexpected. The action of transforming is grounded in God’s purpose and calling for our lives. We are invited to be self-disciplined, focused, and ever in tune with Jesus. I have to admit, the word, “transform,” scares me a bit. Transformation is a process that brings about a change of condition, which is almost always accompanied by a level of discomfort. However, we know there is no growth without discomfort.
When we make the decision to keep growing closer to God, loving others better, and embracing peace in the moment, we are courageously stepping into vulnerability. Our mindsets may be shifted and renewed. We may need to prayerfully break the cycle of unhealthy habits in order to be a vessel God can use for His glorious purpose. We invite space for freedom in our lives as we experience God’s good, pleasing, and perfect will.
At this point in the year, I can imagine we have noticed transformation in our students and ourselves.
Where have you noticed evidence of change in yourself?
Are you proud of this change or does it feel discouraging?
How have your students transformed over the course of the school year?
What breakthroughs can you celebrate today?
Where are you continuing to trust God for His transformative work?
May the Lord Bless You and Keep You:
May this be a season of transformation.
May you see evidence of growth in your own heart and mind.
May God stir in you an awareness of how others are changing.
If you are waiting for a breakthrough, may you pray relentlessly, trusting that God is orchestrating all things to fit together in His perfect timing.
And may you walk forward, confident that God is at work today.
