I Am Brave

“Do not fear what this day, or any day, may bring your way. Concentrate on trusting Me and doing what needs to be done. Relax in My Sovereignty, remembering that I go before you, as well as with you, into each day. Fear no evil, for I can bring good out of every situation you will ever encounter.” ~ Sarah Young

Take a moment to picture a scenario displaying bravery. What is happening? Who is involved? Is it ordinary, heroic, rare, or fantastical?

Now, think of a person you know personally who you would describe as brave. What characteristics, attributes, or actions do they show consistently? How do they inspire you or others around them?

Finally, let’s do some self-reflection. Would you describe yourself as brave? Why or why not? How have you shown mental or moral strength in the face of danger, fear, or difficulty?

Examples of bravery are all around us. Our reflection quote today reminds us to trust instead of fear. Trusting is incredibly brave. Trusting ourselves, others, and God is perhaps one of the most vulnerable decisions we can make. Bravery is taking another step forward, clinging to the promise a small Baby with a humble beginning brought to us. Reflecting on Jesus’ life reminds us of the bravery woven in the choice to love and serve people, exactly as they are. We experience Christ daily as we witness the resilient actions of our colleagues and students. Those we learn and work with every day may be some of the bravest people in the world. This inspiration fuels our own bravery to love unconditionally and trust confidently. The simplest moments of courage are often the strongest.

May the Lord Bless You and Keep You:

Today, may you have a new awareness of your bravery.

May you trust God is bringing goodness, hope, and growth out of every encounter.

May the Holy Spirit give you mental and moral strength when you are faced with challenges.

May you have eyes to see the bravery around you.

And may God excite your heart to move forward victoriously.
