A Pause.
Today, I had planned on taking the time to reflect on the impact of our words and the importance of sharing empowering statements with our students. But something in me felt that you needed to read a different message this morning. So I will save that topic for another day soon.
On this Thursday in the middle of April, I felt we may need to pause and take time to be, to pray, or to meditate. I’d like to share a spiritual reflection in the hopes it will connect with you in the exact way your heart needs it to right now.
God, when I am worn,
Reveal to me who You are.
Demonstrate Your powerful love in miraculous ways.
Show Your strength when I am weak.
Impart Your peace that passes all understanding
In every space of learning today.
Remind me of Your faithfulness.
Jesus, when I am worn,
Walk with me through my day.
Thank You for never leaving me on my own.
Help me develop the determination You had in Your calling.
Open my eyes to see those who may need support or comfort.
As You have listened to me, help me listen to others well.
As you have loved me, help me to love others unconditionally.
Holy Spirit, when I am worn,
Lead others to come alongside me in gracious support.
Help me accept the words or actions my soul needs to embrace.
Open my eyes to see those You have already positioned in my midst.
As You have shared my burdens,
Unify Your people to share one another’s burdens,
In this way, obeying the law of Christ.
May the Lord Bless You and Keep You:
On the days you feel worn, may you feel the Holy Spirit’s wide expanse of grace, reaching out to bring you peace.
May your mind shift to what is truly important in these days.
Amid the ongoing demands, may you prioritize those who God has placed around you.
They are truly the most important.
